Integrating movement into my therapy practice has been such a game changer for my clients. Movement has been shown to improve the natural production of dopamine, promoting feeling good. Moving your body through yoga, pilates, or walking allows you to incorporate breath to movement practice, promoting mindfulness and reducing stress! Join me for a walk and talk therapy session in nature or use my online yoga and pilates classes to bring movement into your wellness routine.
I am currently working on getting a certification in functional nutrition and perimenopause to better serve my female clients. My goal is to initiate therapy with supporting women in meeting their nutrition goals, improving their sleep, and incorporating daily movement before we look at better managing your mental health symptoms. From a functional perspective, it makes sense to do things in this order because we can't improve you anxiety or depression until we improve the other areas first :)
Transitional periods can be difficult to navigate. Figuring out work life balance tends to be one of the most challenging stressors as we enter into adulthood, especially as women. We live in a world where we try to do it all. We're a colleague or business owner. We're a mom. We're a wife. We're a friend, a sister, a daughter. There are a lot of roles and responsibilities we try to fill, and balancing them all can lead to overwhelm, exhaustion, and sometimes even adrenal fatigue. We'll work together to find the better work life balance that fits your individual goals.
